Notices under BattG & ElektroG

This English version is provided for convenience. The legally binding text is the German Hinweise nach BattG & ElektroG.

Battery disposal (BattG)

In connection with the sale of batteries or with the delivery of devices that contain batteries, we are required under the German Battery Act (BattG) to inform you of the following:

As an end-user, you are legally obliged to return used batteries. You may return used batteries that we sell or have sold as new batteries free of charge to our warehouse:

erasoo GmbH
Breslauer Str. 16
64832 Babenhausen, Germany

The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol means that you must not dispose of batteries and rechargeable batteries with household waste. The symbols under the bins stand for:

  • Pb: battery contains lead
  • Cd: battery contains cadmium
  • Hg: battery contains mercury

Disposal of old electrical equipment (ElektroG)

Owners of old devices must collect them separately from unsorted municipal waste. Electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste, but rather via dedicated collection and return systems.

Old devices can be handed in free of charge at public waste-disposal collection points (recycling centres) or at the designated take-back points.

On delivery of a new device, we take back, free of charge, old devices of the same type that fulfil essentially the same functions as the newly purchased device. Please contact us before sending anything back at team@it-2nd-life.de.

End users are responsible for deleting personal data before disposing of old devices.

Packaging Act (VerpackG)

As a packaging distributor, we are registered with the German Central Packaging Registry: LUCID registration number: DE2132814188054. We participate in a dual system for the disposal of used sales packaging.
