Device conditions A, B and C explained
Every device is tested technically and then rated cosmetically. The grade only describes the cosmetic condition – technically all devices are fully functional.
Like new
No visible signs of use
The device looks almost new. On close inspection there are no or only very minimal traces. Screen free of scratches.
Very good
Minimal signs of use
Light traces that are barely noticeable from normal viewing distance, such as fine micro scratches on the housing. Screen without disturbing scratches.
Good
Visible signs of use
Clearly visible signs of use such as scratches, small dents or wear on the housing. The screen may show light scratches that do not affect usage.
Acceptable
Heavy signs of use
Pronounced cosmetic wear such as deeper scratches, dents or chipping. Fully tested and functional, but visibly used.
What we check on every device
- Functional test of all components: display, keyboard, ports, camera, speakers, wireless modules.
- Battery health: devices below 70% remaining capacity are sorted out.
- Data erasure using recognised procedures, followed by a fresh operating system install.
- Cleaning and replacement of defective or heavily worn parts where required.
Good to know
Signs of use matching the stated grade are not a defect. Regardless of the grade, the statutory liability for defects of two years from delivery applies; in addition we grant a 12-month voluntary warranty. See Warranty and our Terms.

Practically as-new condition. No visible signs of use on case or display. Technically flawless and fully tested.
Very good
Minimal signs of use
Only minor micro-scratches visible on close inspection. Display free of scratches, battery in very good condition. Fully functional.
Good
Visible signs of use
Clearly visible, normal signs of use on the case (light scratches, small dents possible). Display without deep scratches. Fully functional.
Acceptable
Heavy traces, fully functional
Heavy signs of use on the case and possibly the display. Technically tested and fully functional – ideal for price-conscious buyers.
